Dear participant,
Welcome to the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) provider course. First and foremost, we at HSTCSA want to thank you for choosing us as your preferred training provider. We recognize and applaud your commitment to providing high-quality patient care through continual professional development. As a result, we aim to provide you with an efficient learning journey that will assist you in achieving all of your educational goals.
How to prepare
The ACLS Course will teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a Team Leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. Because the ACLS Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand.
- Review, understand, and pass the mandatory pre-course self-assessment. (upload your certificate below.)
- Review and understand the information in your ACLS Provider Manual.
- Ensure that your BLS skills and knowledge are current for the resuscitation scenarios. At the beginning of the ACLS course, you will be tested on adult high-quality BLS skills, using a feedback manikin. You must know these skills in advance because the ACLS course will not teach you how to do CPR or use an AED.
1. Precourse self-assessment and precourse work
The ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment (International English) evaluates a student’s knowledge before the course to evaluate proficiency and determine the need for additional review and practice. The ACLS Precourse Work involves a student reviewing course content through online videos before entering the classroom. The video lessons cover multiple medical subjects and each lesson includes questions to engage the student. Click here to access the precourse self-assessment and precourse work
Things to know before attending the ACLS course
